SURFACE LA is a nonprofit organization committed to motivating our youth to break free from a sedentary lifestyle and infiltrate creative spaces. Nurturing mental health through creativity is at the forefront of our core values.

Back in the day, youth were surrounded by community programs that provided multiple options for extracurricular activities. But as technology advances today, we are seeing youth opt for internet based hobbies instead of those that require physical activity with peers. As a result, obesity, lack of communication skills, and an increase in mental health disorders, have filled our homes without any promising or affordable solutions.

Our vision is to provide access to the creative arts for the underserved youth of Los Angeles at no cost. We provide dance training in various styles, strength and body conditioning, visual arts, and activities that support mental wellness.

This program provides a balance between modern and traditional hobbies. We aim to offer a solution that encourages individuality, confidence, and physical activity to better prepare our youth for the future.
